Activate login protection for websites or set up a new homepage

You can protect one or more pages of an event website from external access by activating the login protection. This allows only people within the guest list to access these pages.

Set up a new homepage

By default, the "Registration" page is the event's homepage.
  1. To set a different page as the homepage, go to > Website and select the “Set as Homepage” option in the quick menu.
  2. Please note that only individual pages and certain system pages can be selected as homepages. For pages that are excluded, the option is not selectable.
  3. The homepage is marked in the list with the -symbol next to the page name.

Activate login protection

When a login-protected page is accessed, the visitor is prompted to enter the access code. Only after entering a valid access code will the guest be directed to the requested page.

a) Activate login protection for the event's homepage: Go to > Settings > Website & Mailing and check the "Homepage requires login" checkbox.

b) Activate login protection for a specific event page:
  1. To protect specific pages from unauthorized access, go to > Website and select “Login required” in the quick menu for the desired page or “Lock page” in the “Select action” option in the footer area.
  2. Login-protected pages are marked in the list with the -symbol next to the URL. When a protected page is accessed, the login page is presented first.
The login page cannot be the "homepage": Set the page that should appear first after login as the homepage and activate the login protection for this page.
Guests accessing the page with a personalized link from a mailing are not required to enter login data. This is done automatically in the background.
Using login codes in printed invitations
Access codes are automatically generated for each guest by the system and can be viewed in > Guests in the respective guest details. Access codes can be exported in bulk (column "Access code of the main guest" in the export file) to print them on printed invitations along with the URL to the event homepage.
