Create Dynamic Content for integration in mailings, mailing subjects or websites

Creating a Dynamic Content

  1. Open the Event > Dynamic Content to display the list of "Dynamic Content".
  2. The number of times a “Dynamic Content” is embedded is shown in the "Usage" column. Click on the link “… in use” to see where it is embedded.
  3. To edit a “Dynamic Content”, click on the element's name.
  4. To create a new one, click the “+ Content” icon , or duplicate an existing element.

Creating Mailings, Mailing Subjects, or Websites with Segment-Dependent Content

  1. If you are not using system target groups, first create the required target groups or tags in the > Segments menu and assign at least one guest to each segment.
  2. Enter a name for the first content block in the “Label” field. This is for internal use only and helps distinguish between different content blocks.
  3. Select the desired segment to display this content block in the corresponding dropdown field.
  4. Create the content in the text field, optionally using the editor.
  5. Add another content block using the “Add Content” dropdown or the “Duplicate This Content” button located directly below the content block.
  6. Repeat the process for all desired segments.
  7. Use the “Edit” icon in the header area of each content block to expand or collapse them. The label, language, and segment are displayed in the header area to better distinguish the content blocks.
  8. To change the order, use the “Arrow” icon in the header area. To delete a content block, click the “x” icon.

Logic of Segment-Dependent Display

  1. “Dynamic Content” works on the principle of single selection, meaning only one content block is displayed, even if guests are in multiple segments.
  2. For guests in multiple segments, the order of the content blocks is important: Only the topmost content block is shown for these guests among all the content blocks they belong to.
  3. It is recommended not to select any segment restriction for the bottommost content block and use it as a fallback. This ensures that guests without segment assignment do not receive an empty email. These guests will see the bottommost, unrestricted content block.
When using “Dynamic Content” as a mailing subject, please note that only text can be used; formatting in subjects will not be displayed, and for readability, the number of characters should not be too large.
