Segment guests with tags

Segment guests with tags

Tags function like “labels” that you assign to specific guests.

Multiple guests with the same “label” are automatically grouped into a segment. A guest can have one tag or multiple tags.

Creating New Tags:

  • When importing guests: Simply enter the desired tag in a separate "Tags" column for each guest in the import list. If you want to assign multiple tags to a guest, enter all tags separated by a comma in this column (e.g., "VIP, Press"). Tags not yet available in Invitario will be automatically created during the import and do not need to be added beforehand.
  • Creating tags in Invitario: In the menu > Segments > Tags by clicking on "Add Tag" . In addition to the name, you can also assign a color value (HEX format) to a tag. In > Guests and during check-in (web, app), the assigned tag symbols will be displayed with the respective color next to each guest.

  • Creating tags when editing a guest: Open a guest in > Guests by clicking on their name and add one or more tags in the "Tags" field. Newly entered tags will be created if they do not already exist.

Assigning Existing Tags:

  • By importing guests: Enter the desired tags in the "Tags" column for each guest.
  • Assigning tags when editing guest data: Open a guest in > Guests by clicking on their name and add one or more tags in the "Tags" field.
  • Assigning tags in the guest list: Open > Guests and select the desired guests. Choose the desired tag from "Select action" at the bottom of the list and apply the assignment.

Use colors for tags! Tags are displayed in color in the backend and in the check-in app:
  1. In > Guests, in the guest list next to the guest names as a colored “label”, without the tag name.
  2. In the check-in app and web check-in with the tag name and color.
  3. In the segment selection of the following elements with the tag name and color: Mailings, sessions, forms, website, dynamic content, PDF, check-in, ticketing.
