Setting up a desired domain for the event website

Invitario Enables You to Make Your Event Website(s) Accessible through a Custom Domain

By setting up your desired domain, your event website (or all event websites within your account) can be accessed through this domain. You can set up a subdomain of an existing domain (e.g., event.yourdomain.com), use a domain you have already registered, or register a new domain.
Custom Domain(s) and Invitario Cloud:  Users of Invitario Cloud can assign a different custom domain to each event or use one domain for multiple events. If a domain is used for multiple events simultaneously, the URL of the respective event will be expanded with the event name "/name-of-event".

Connecting Your Domain to Invitario Nameservers

Before you can use your custom domain as an event website in Invitario, you need to complete the following steps.

Step 1:   Notify the Desired Domain
Inform Invitario Support ( support@invitario.com ) which domain you would like to use with Invitario and specify the domain type (main domain, subdomain, or a newly registered domain).
If you want to use a "Top-Level Domain" for Invitario, please note the following points:
-      For technical reasons, we only assign nameservers for the "Sub-Domain" (www.domain.com).   More about Top-Level Domain
-     A redirect from domain.com to www.domain.com must be set up by you if you want accessibility by entering both variants.

Step 2:     Entering the NS Records
After informing Invitario Support of the desired domain, you will receive four nameservers to enter within one business day.

Here are four example NS Records:

mein-event.com. 1800 IN NS ns-533.awsdns-02.net. mein-event.com. 1800 IN NS ns-212.awsdns-26.com. mein-event.com.  1800  IN  NS  ns-1885.awsdns-43.co.uk. mein-event.com. 1800  IN NS ns-1152.awsdns-16.org.

Note to IT: Perform the NS entries without www, the redirect from www.oenb-events.at to oenb-events.at will be set up by us.

These four nameservers must then be entered by you with your provider. These entries ensure that your domain can reach Invitario's servers. For more information on entering nameservers, please contact your IT department or your provider's user support.

Please ensure that your provider (domain provider) allows you to edit your DNS entries and enter at least four nameservers.

Step 3: Notification that the entries have been made
Let us know once you have entered the received NS Records with your provider. We can then create an SSL certificate for your domain and complete the setup.

The SSL certificate automatically created for you by Invitario is a technical standard to ensure a secure connection to your domain.

Step 4: Your Domain is Ready for Use in Invitario
Once Invitario has completed the setup, you will receive confirmation that your event website is accessible through your custom domain.
