Setting up credit cards as a payment method
For events with active ticketing, payments by credit card can be received and processed automatically. Setting up credit card payments is done in two steps.
Step 1: Create an account with the payment processor STRIPE
To collect credit card payments (Visa, Mastercard) with Invitario, you need to open an account at
stripe.com. Opening an account is free and takes just a few minutes.
Terms (as of 12/2019):

For all European credit cards: 1.4% + €0.25/transaction

For all non-European credit cards: 2.9% + €0.25/transaction

Step 2: Link your Stripe account to your Invitario account
After successfully creating the STRIPE account, you can link it to your Invitario account.
- Open your > Account in the side menu > Administration > Payment methods
- Select "STRIPE.COM (CREDIT CARDS)" . If a payment method is already set up, click the "Add" icon and select the "Stripe" option.
- You will now be redirected to the stripe.com page where you can log in with your STRIPE credentials. The linking of your Stripe account will be done automatically after login.
The payment methods set up at the account level are available for all events in the account. You can also set up payment methods in an event under > Ticketing > Payment methods – these are only available in the respective event.
