Use of QR codes for participant check-in
If you want to handle participant check-in quickly and securely, using QR codes is a great option. These facilitate the capture of participants at the entrance by scanning the code using a smartphone, tablet, or special hand scanners. Invitario creates an individual QR code for each guest of your event – this can be used to identify guests by scanning and using the Invitario App or via web check-in.
By scanning the QR code, the participant is immediately found in the guest list and automatically checked in. This eliminates the need to manually search for and record arriving guests' names in the guest list. You can send QR codes to your participants, for example, along with the registration confirmation or through a manually triggered mailing.
The QR codes are included in the online tickets automatically generated by Invitario.
- Embedding in confirmation pages or emails is done using the macro selection field "Tickets".
- Online tickets can be saved by guests in the wallet of their smartphones.
- Online tickets can be downloaded as PDFs and printed.
Alternatively, QR codes can also be delivered in the following ways:
- In the email text: QR codes can be directly integrated into the text field of the confirmation email using a macro.
- Personalized PDF: You can create personalized PDFs in the menu item > PDF, in which you integrate a QR code. You can design the background of the PDFs according to your desired design and embed the PDF using the editor selection field "Macros - PDF" in the confirmation page and mailings.
