Dependencies and restrictions for ticket types

Dependencies and restrictions for ticket types

With Invitario, you can offer your guests only those tickets that are intended for a specific guest segment. You can link ticket types with a segment (target group and/or tags) or make the offered ticket types dependent on the guest's responses in the registration form.

For example, you can include questions like "Are you already a customer?" in the registration form and
display only the ticket types intended for that selection. All other ticket types will not be shown.

Please note that you need the following functions in your account to implement this: Ticketing, Custom Fields, Segments. Contact user support for more information.

To create dependencies of this kind, proceed as follows:

Create a custom field in the registration form
  1. Click on the "Forms" menu item and select the desired form.
  2. In the second tab "Fields", add the desired custom field. More information on custom fields can be found here.

Create a target group

In the next step, create a target group that includes all guests who have filled out the custom field created earlier:
  1. Click on the "Segments" menu > "Target groups".
  2. Click on "Create new target group".
  3. Create the target group according to your requirements. More information on working with segments and target groups can be found here. In our example, we want to add all guests to this target group who have checked the custom field "Student" in the registration form.

Create the ticket type

Before creating a new ticket, make sure you have already created a ticketing configuration.
More information can be found here
To create a new ticket type, proceed as follows:

  1. Click on "Ticket types" in the menu > create your new ticket

  2. To make your ticket visible only to guests in your target group, select the appropriate target group under Restriction.

Adjust and integrate the ticketing configuration

Then make sure your newly created ticket is displayed in your ticketing configuration and is in the correct position (order of displayed ticket types).

To do this, go to Ticketing > Ticketing configuration > select your ticketing configuration > check all ticket types to be displayed in this ticketing configuration and adjust the order if necessary.

Then integrate the created ticketing configuration into the registration form.
Go to "Forms" > select the registration form > in the first tab "Settings" > select the ticketing configuration

The result

Now, when your guest selects the custom field "Student" in their registration process, the newly created "Student Ticket" will be displayed.
Guests who did not check this box will not see the "Student Ticket".
