Update & Release Report No. 28: Security updates (May 2022)

In recent months, a lot has happened at Invitario. Our team has been working hard to implement some new features and further improve existing ones.

Security Updates

Security is a top priority for us. Therefore, we have implemented some new features to further enhance the security for our users and their contacts.

Captcha [DEV-5838]

Robot (🤖) or Human (👨)? That's the question every participant must answer before they can complete their registration. With the Captcha feature, we make life difficult for bots. Learn more about how it works here.

URL Form Fields [DEV-5831]

To prevent misuse of open forms, URLs can now only be entered in specifically marked text fields. The "Text (long)" field is exempt from this validation. Learn more about custom fields and their validation here.

User Password Settings [DEV-5683]

All account admins now have the ability to set password requirements such as minimum number of characters, at least one special character, etc. This setting is located at the account level under Administration > Settings > "Password" tab. All newly created users or existing users who reset their passwords must adhere to the restrictions set by the account admin. Users will automatically be notified of the restrictions they need to consider when setting their password. This setting can be made separately for each sub-account.
