Creation of dynamic content for multilingual websites, mailings or mailing subjects

Creating a Dynamic Content

  1. Open the event > Dynamic Content to display the list of "Dynamic Content".
  2. You can see how often a "Dynamic Content" is used in the list under the "Usage" column. Click on the link "... in use" and it will also show where it is embedded.
  3. To edit a "Dynamic Content", click on the name of the element.
  4. To create a new one, click on the "+ Content" icon , or duplicate an existing element.

Creating Multilingual Websites, Mailings, or Mailing Subjects

  1. First, select all the languages you want to use on the website and in mailings in the > Settings menu under the "Available Languages" field. Set a preferred language in the "Preferred Language" field to display to guests who do not have a preset language on the website.

  2. Enter a name for the first content block in the "Description" field. This is for internal use only and helps to distinguish the different content blocks.
  3. Select the desired language for the content block in the corresponding dropdown field.
  4. Enter the content in the text field, optionally using the editor.
  5. Create another content block using the "Add New Content" dropdown or the "Duplicate This Content" button. These are located directly below the content block.
  6. Repeat the process for all desired languages.
  7. Use the "Pencil" icon in the header area of each content block to expand or collapse them. Description, language, and segment are displayed in the header area to better distinguish the content blocks.
  8. To change the order, use the "Arrow" icon in the header area. To delete a content block, click the "x" icon.

The Logic of Multilingual Display

  1. The logic of multilingual display
  2. Multilingual "Dynamic Content" embedded in mailings will display the content block according to the language preset in the guest's master data.
  3. It is recommended to use the "Preferred Language" for the bottommost content block and to select "All" in the "Language" dropdown field of this content block. This prevents guests without a language assignment from receiving a blank email. They will see the bottommost content block.
  4. Guests can set their own language selection on the website using the "Language Switch" at the top right. All languages selected under > Settings > "Available Languages" are available for selection. The language chosen by the guest is saved in the guest's master data and automatically used for future communication.
When using "Dynamic Content" for multilingual mailing subjects, please note that only texts can be used, formatting in subjects is not displayed, and for readability reasons, the number of characters should not be too large.
