Creating a link or button

Creating a link or button

Invitario allows you to easily and quickly create buttons and links to your websites and contents. To create a button or link for a website or a document, do the following:

Step 1: Enter the name into the editor

Enter the name of your link into the editor. Always enter the name in the exact place you want it to be displayed in the editor.

Next, select the required link in the editor. The link can refer to a website created in Invitario, a file you have already uploaded or an external URL (e.g. your company’s website).

If, for example, you are creating links to websites within Invitario, you should also always use macros to ensure that the link will always automatically adjust to any changes
For example:    {{page.programm.url}} and not   " https://live.invitario.com/de/the-summit-2020-demo/programm/%22

Step 3: Copy/cut the macro you entered

In order for you to be able to use the macro you entered for the link, simply highlight it and copy it to your clipboard. To do so, use “Cut”.

To finish the process, highlight the name you entered for the link and select “Insert link” (  ) from the menu bar. Insert the cut-out macro into the “URL” filed using the key combination STRG+V (for Windows) or CMD+V (for OS X). If you would subsequently like to change the “Name” of the link, you can do so in the “Text to display” filed.

If you would like to create a button instead of a link, simply select “Insert button” instead of “Insert link” from the menu bar in the last step (4). All of the other steps are identical.
